large terrace, convenient parking options, unique architectural layout
The hotel's tired decor and poor maintenance were glaring. Internet connectivity issues affected my productivity, and the confusing layout made navigating the hotel frustrating.

I loved the views from the hotel's panoramic terrace, were comparable (and I'm not exaggerating) to those of various local fortresses and viewpoints. I think, without a doubt, that it is the best hotel in Setubal and price-quality ratio is excellent (at least my offer was). Everybody talks about the breakfast (it seems an obsession): yes, it is magnificent. rooms are elegant, spacious and very practical, bathroom set meets the expectations of a 4 star hotel and parking is free, is appreciated at the end of the day. Inside the hotel there is a space to get information and even hire attractions, trips and excursions, there is a good snack-bar and a pool table that can be used by the guests. Despite being at the top of the city, descent is directly to an access road to the centre and beaches or to the road to the villages or Lisbon.
I'm really very pleased with the choice.

I really liked the hotel in general, spacious and beautiful room. great views and friendly and helpful staff.
check in was from 4:00 pm, late in my experience. At 17:00 a party began with a multitude of participants on the terrace above the room. We could not rest because of the noise. To that we added that the mattress was very uncomfortable. We told the staff about it and went to see it, explaining why. They offered us another room but with separate beds and no view. We decided that we would stay but turn the mattress around. What was our surprise and displeasure when we saw, together with two hotel workers, that it was very, stained on both sides. As well as the top that went on top of the mattress, kind of futon, cover that covered both. Stains of years and years of all sizes and colors! totally disgusting "show". I told them that we were very uncomfortable with the situation and that despite having clean sheets and quilts on the surface, we were not going to sleep comfortably knowing NOW what was under them. We understood, as we let you know, that a hotel of such characteristics, of four stars and of such price and category, could not have those mattresses to use. We lost an hour in such a management. we returned after 23:00, time at which the party was supposed to end (100 participants or more), it still went on until after 24:00. We heard laughter and voices just above our room. mattress, futon and cover were replaced by two new single mattresses that were put together, as well as covers, new. original canapé was about six inches too big on each side, at least we slept CLEAN! We asked ourselves:. Can a four-star hotel use that kind of mattress and bedding? IT'S EMBARRASSING. next morning the check out had to be done at 11:00 in the morning.

Recommend it for families
The terrace was a nice surprise, we enjoyed the funky seating while taking in the views, wrapped in blankets when the wind picked up! The breakfast was plentiful and decent-nice way to start the day.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but still acceptable for what we got.

The location was marvellous, just a short walk away from Museum of Setubal. Big size units on the lower floors, liked it.

Breakfast: Very good (varied, abundant and good service
Gastrobar: Bad (too late to attend and serve, little variety on offer, expensive and very badly served... I put the plate/table on the table, it tilts it too much and oil falls on my trousers. I'm sorry if you asked me at the time, nobody did anything to compensate me, not even offered me to wash my pants. Cleanliness: A disaster!! in rooms and common areas (the piano in the corridor accumulated dust for weeks (in my entire stay was not cleaned) On the terrace of the room, I see traces of plants and skeins of hair, I indicate to the manager the next day to look and clean well, so was my entire stay (4 days) The little plate in which you serve a welcome candy, was in the room without removing or cleaning from the first to last day, stained and with these food. Unacceptable in any way, maximum in a hotel of the category it aims.

All the details, none of the fluff
Staying here was a pleasant surprise! The spacious room provided a comfortable retreat, while the fine views added a special touch. Breakfast was ample and fairly priced, and the staff's local recommendations were invaluable for exploring. A note for improvement, the bathrooms could use some extra attention to cleanliness.

We had a little difficulty finding the hotel because of its unusual position but well worth the effort. We particularly liked the dining room on the eighth floor with magnificent views at night.

Friendly, helpful staff. Stylish and comfortable hotel. Wonderful views and an unexpectedly large room plus balcony. The roof-top restauraunt was excellant, in terms of both staff and food. The parking was a bonus, being convenient and free.

I liked the size of the bed. It was a large whole one, not two separate ones. The view was lovely too.

I greatly enjoyed its very welcoming and pleasant employees.
I stayed here for a trip and would stay here again. The location of the hotel was great - around 10-15 minutes walk from a historic monastery. It was a very pleasant area, a super base for me.

The Estalagem Do Sado offers great value, with large, clean & comfortable rooms. It can be a little noisy in the evening, but is quiet at night. The staff are very friendly, helpful and extrememly patient with my poor Portuguese
The breakfast offering is basic.
